At the end of 2006 the V-Desk system was deployed in the energy supplying company KRI S.A. operating in areas of gas transport and distribution and heat production, transport and distribution. The company actively supports the evnironmental issues by supplying ecologically friendly fuels.

The goal here was to create an electronic document storage with fast and easy retrieval and management reporting capabilities on the stored documents.
The implementation proces included quotation documents. The documents are scanned in the reception office, registered in the V-Desk system and subsequently indexed, accepted and entered into the financial and accounting system KOM-PRO. The KOM-PRO registration process utilises barcode technology, allowing the linking of V-Desk documents with their equivalents in the accounting system.
The last step included automatic data exchange between both systems. The financial data required by reporting section is transferred to the V-Desk system.

Introduction of the V-Desk system significantly improved efficiency and the retrieval speed of both current and historical documents, ultimately improving the company operations and management.
In the near future, KRI S.A. intends to include in the V-Desk system other document types, such as contract documents, and to have the capability of creating reports for the Polish „Komisja Papierów Wartościowych i Giełd”.
